Ten renowned architectural firms are examining the potential for change in ten main streets in Berlin as well as in the neighbouring state capital of Potsdam and submitting proposals for a sustainable and people-friendly redesign.

These main streets reflect the history of Berlin with its economic booms, wars, crises, dictatorships, destruction, division and reunification. They testify to the widely differing visions that have shaped its design, a design however, immer modern (always modern), in any case.
