Symposium ‘Great Streets of Tomorrow: Berlin after the mobility, climate and energy transition’
Recordings from 6th September 2024 at the Kronprinzenpalais in Berlin
Following the first symposium on 5th September on the topic of ‘Great Streets of Today: How the transformation can succeed’, the AIV organised a second conference on the ‘Great Streets of Tomorrow’ shown in the exhibition and on questions of future mobility.
Hardly any other topic is as polarisingly discussed today as mobility in cities. In view of the challenges of climate change and the need to say goodbye to the car-friendly city, there are great opportunities for redistributing traffic and revitalising the urban spaces of tomorrow.
Even if it is not possible to predict the future of the coming decades, transport innovations and trends are already emerging today, many of which are digitally driven and appear irreversible: e-mobility, autonomous transport, emission-free urban logistics, the model of the 15-minute city, shared bicycles, cars, scooters and scooters, as well as more public transport and cycling. Politicians and experts present future transport concepts and outline everything we can already know today about the mobility and urban planning of tomorrow.
