»New road regulations are more important than old traffic codes: streets are not just corridors for traffic, but places to relax and socialise. Greenery, refreshment, play and communication should be prioritised over parking.

In cities, towns and villages, people live along and on the streets, including busy main roads. These residents are as important as those transiting through. Those who move slowly are as important as those who move quickly. Travelling across the road is as important as travelling along it. The edges are the most important part of the street. Every route begins and ends at a building. Roads must be planned and built from the edge to the centre, not the other way around.«
