»Motor traffic, yes, but in moderation!«

»Berlin’s urban landscape offers room for change. Streets and squares, together with parks and green spaces make up the generous public space that is the envy of many cities.

Making the city fit for the future means building upon this. Trams already run along the main streets. They should run on others. We need more trees, and trees need more space to combat the effects of high temperatures. Drinking fountains, water features and shady places to cool off will be added. Convenient bike lanes, safe footpaths, and more water-permeable surfaces must also be a part of the city of tomorrow. Car traffic will still be accommodated, but no longer dominant.

Streets and squares will once again belong to the people, urban life and community.«
